Businertia announced today that it has established a key link to extending its midsourcing service to better support the diverse processes often used by small businesses. The advancement comes as a byproduct of Businertia's commitment to building a service model consistent with in house or insourced technology staff.
Midsourcing is quickly becoming a viable alternative to hiring your own IT person because it is performing the mundane tasks people often overlook in favor of more interesting tasks that require less "grunt work". Midsourcing forces engineers to closely manage the details and offers incentives for properly documenting infrastructure, processes and work requests. "Some of our clients are businesses who would have had to build an IT knowledge center within their organization had it not been for our midsourcing processes." said Jason Seymour, partner at Businertia.
As outsource consultants continue to use managed services as a feeder program to larger billable dollars, Businertia is challenging the traditional service model by offering ways to more effectively transfer knowledge into and out of an organization. Midsourcing as a service model has made in roads toward efficiency that outsource consultants wouldn't touch for fear they would ruin traditional revenue streams. Traditionally, IT service providers were less concerned about being efficient because it was counter to their means of generating revenue. If it takes 3 hours to build a quote for a client, or 8 hours to install a device when a more plan-full and documented process could accomplish this process in half the time, it impacts the traditional revenue stream.
While most managed service consultants protect their knowledge capital, Businertia has created a way to more effectively transfer the knowledge into an organization while taking valuable steps toward documenting the processes that an organization depends on. Protecting knowledge leads the the creation of natural barriers that prevent an organization from growing. Midsourcing embeds knowledge transfer into core processes making difficult for knowledge to be transferred in ways harmful to either organization. This leads to levels of efficiency that customers are not accustomed to with traditional managed services or consulting arrangements. The net result is a higher quality of service and more efficient model for servicing clients.
